What is PowerOptions Connect?
PowerOptions Connect is a 501c3 organization founded in 2025 with a vision of helping nonprofits and public entities complete their clean energy and sustainability projects. We understand these organizations care deeply about climate and community resilience but do not have the dedicated staff, funding, or technical expertise to make progress. We fill that gap. Through our programs, we connect communities to solar, energy resilience solutions, decarbonization planning, and hands-on implementation support to get projects done.
Why does PowerOptions Connect exist?
Clean energy progress should not depend on how big your budget or staff is. But for many nonprofits and municipalities, that's exactly the reality, the complexity of energy markets, grant applications, and project implementation is simply too much without dedicated resources. PowerOptions Connect was created to change that. We're the nonprofit sister organization to PowerOptions, a Member-based energy advisory organization with deep expertise in this space. PowerOptions saw too many communities getting left behind and helped establish PowerOptions Connect specifically to remove those barriers.

poconnect@poweroptions.org. We also accept stock donations and donations from donor advised funds.
What documentation will I receive of my donation?
You will receive a thank you letter from us with the details of your contribution that will also provide information about the tax exempt nature of your donation.
Can I make a recurring/monthly donation?
Yes - our donation platform will allow you to schedule regular donations to PowerOptions Connect if that's the giving strategy that best meets your needs.
Can I dedicate my gift in honor or memory of someone?
Yes - our online donation platform allows you make a gift in honor or in memory of someone. If you would like to make your donation outside of the online platform, please email us a note at poconnect@poweroptions.org or enclose a note with your mailed check so we can be sure to honor your chosen person.
Can my employer match my donation?
Yes - if your employer requires additional documentation acknowledging your donation beyond what is provided in our online platform or you would like to make a donation outside the platform, email us at poconnect@poweroptions.org and we would be happy to assist you.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes - PowerOptions is recognized as a 501c3 organization by the IRS (EIN 33-4166137), making 100% of your donation tax deductible. Please talk to your tax advisor about how this will impact your taxes.
Can I designate my donation to a specific program or initiative?
If you would like to designate your donation for a specific program or initiative, please note it when you give online or email us at poconnect@poweroptions.org so we can make arrangements with you for this.
Where can I find your financial statements or annual reports?
PowerOptions Connect is in its first year of existence, so we do not yet have audited financial statements or annual reports. We will post these on our website once they are available.
Do you offer corporate sponsorship opportunities?

Do you accept planned gifts or bequests or can PowerOptions Connect be included in my estate planning?
Yes - we would be happy to work with you on these types of planned giving. If you are interested, please email us at poconnect@poweroptions.org.
Can I remain anonymous?
Yes - if you would like to remain anonymous, please note this when you are making your gift. Our online platform allows you to do this easily.
Is my payment information secure?
All online donations made through our website are securely processed by Stripe, a trusted industry-leading payment platform that uses advanced encryption and security protocols to protect your data during transmission. PowerOptions Connect does not store your full credit card or banking information on our servers. Payment information is securely handled through Stripe’s PCI-compliant systems.
